The Office of Cultural Development has sent out a new call to artists for their up and coming spring show titled “Outside In: The Art of the Garden”. We encourage all artists interested to submit work, details are below.

Outside In: The Art of the Garden, March 16th-April 14th, 2012
Work Media:
We are looking for work that embodies and reflects the beauty and fecundity of gardens in a variety of both 2 and 3 dimensional media. The show will also include an installation created by the Berkshire Botanical Garden and a small garden shop.
Entry Requirements:
1. Cover letter describing the work, including size and media
2. Digital images of up to 5 pieces in JPEG format at 300 dpi.
3. Artist resume including biography, educational background and exhibit history.
Submission Deadline:
All entries must be received by February 16th, 2012. Entries can be submitted by e mail to: ctoomey@pittsfieldch.com (Please note that our server can only accept e mails with up to 5mb of images)

Selection Process:
The show will be juried by Matthew Larkin, chairman of the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Stuart Chase, former director of the Berkshire Museum, and Anne Pasko, co-founder of the Pittsfield Garden Tour. All artists will be notified if they have been selected by March 2nd 2012.
Accepted Artwork:
All accepted artwork must be delivered ready to hang. All installation of the artwork will be done by the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts.
Delivery and Pick Up:
Delivery of art work is the responsibility of the artist, and is due Monday March 12th unless otherwise arranged through the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts. Art work must be picked up by the artist or a representative on Monday, April 16th.
Reception:
Opening reception will be on March 16th from 5-7pm
Sales:
The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will take a 30% commission on all sales. Work does not have to be for sale to be included in the show.
