Barrington Stage Company is looking for a 10-year-old boy for Higher Ground, a 10-minute play in BSC’s 10×10 New Play Festival at St. Germain Stage, February 14-March 3.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 12 from 2pm–3pm at the St Germain Stage at 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.
Written by BSC Associate Artist Christopher Innvar, who will also direct, Higher Ground concerns a father and son’s venture in search of gas after the devastation of a major hurricane. BSC will see boys ages 9-11 years old who are excellent actors. Rehearsals begin February 5, with performances February 14- March 3 (Thurs-Sun). Rehearsals will be held Tuesday-Sunday; every effort will be made to work around school schedules.
BSC’s 10×10 New Play Festival features ten new 10-minute plays by 10 exciting playwrights, performed by a cast of seven. The 10×10 New Play Festival is part of the 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, returning to downtown Pittsfield for the second year, featuring music, theatre, dance, film, visual art, spoken word, comedy and more.
