Ferrin Gallery, officially established in 1979, is nationally known as a contemporary art gallery specializing in figural sculpture and studio ceramics. The gallery works closely with private collectors, institutions and the media as a source for works by both established and emerging artists.
Ferrin Gallery began in Northampton, MA, a small college town in Western Massachusetts, founded by artists Leslie Ferrin, Mara Superior and Barbara Walch. It shared its location with a cooperative teaching space, artist studios and Pinch Pottery; a shop that featured functional ceramics and affordable handmade objects.
Since 2007, Ferrin Gallery has occupied a space in downtown Pittsfield, hosting various cultural events such as workshops, lectures, theatrical performances and, of course mixed-medium art exhibits. The gallery continues to participate in various international art fairs in Miami, Palm Beach, Chicago and New York.
